Topic: Packers won... time to shave my beard?

I'm currently contemplating shaving my beard off. I work in education, so older people seem to take my 31 yr old opinion a little better if I have a beard. I haven't really shaved my face clean since Jan. 2010 except for trimming my beard here and there.

I'm a huge Packer fan, and now that they won I feel a little nutty. And I've been waiting for an arbitrary reason to shave my face.

Nic, why stop there? Shave your whole body including your eyebrows. Keep it that way until we go to Joe's Wisconsin shows, that will be sure to impress him! cool Or, just shave a big "G" on either side of your beard and head. Be proud young man! wink  lol

Nic, coming from a fellow bearded man, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, shave it. Trim it, keep it short, grow it long, do whatever. But never shave it all off. EVER.  cool

shave it, whats the worst that could happen? Or take it down to a goatee and see what it looks like? And if you don't like it (now brace yourself for the big shocker here guys)......you could always grow it back  cool

From one who has been hirsute since I could, (even my wife of 38 years doesn't know what I look like!) keep it. Vary the length, trim, shape, but it is great at keeping the skeeters away in the woods and cold off your face in winter. If times get tough with a lady friend or the law, then shave it and they won't know who to look for! lol

Ah Nic, just what we've been missing - a topic about the joys and/or miseries of facial hair, the pros and cons, to be, or not to be, hirsute!  big_smile

Keep the beard unless you are unhappy with it or you get dermatological issues. I have had my mustache for nearly 44 years. I also had a full beard when I first grew the tache, but after a couple of years my skin started rebelling and coming out in nasty, itchy red blotches which, according to the doctor, would only improve with light and air. Off it had to come and I haven't had a full beard since, though I have at times played around with increasing the droop of the tache and having it run almost down to the line of my jaw....but I eventually gave that up too, leaving me with the handsome growth that you have all seen.  wink   big_smile

Nic, if you're happy with a beard, keep it.
I grew a beard once, the girlfriend at the time liked it, so i kept it. It was the 70's !! Peace and love man !  lol

I liked it a lot. BUT I JUST SHAVED IT OFF!

My walk from the car into the office was SO cold!

I'll be growing it back in April for opening weekend of Fishing in May  wink
I had a beard for all of 2010, but before that, I rocked a seasonal beard.
