Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

A catchy little tune and a video I like a lot. Hey, maybe Joe will come up with a song too? Maybe he could call it, "Woke Up Dreaming The Packers Won The Super Bowl!" After all, he is a Packer fan. wink  cool

Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

Thank God it's almost over! I've had more than enough of the hype that accompanies this "game of games". The media slices, dices, & dissects this to no end. Even if my team was in it I'd be looking forward to the focus which follows this game.....BASEBALL SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

I normally would be pulling for the Steelers, they've always been a rugged blue collar team, but I can no longer support a team with a serial date rapist.  I'm disgusted with pampered celebrities always getting a pass.  I'll pull for Aaron Rodgers today and hope he finally gets the respect he deserves.

Great game! Great D by Green Bay, Mom is cheering and had her GB shirt on today. Super Superbowl. IMO epic fail at halftime so we stepped out on the balcony and enjoyed the view and sunset. The pulled pork was perfect!

Easy, dude.  That's a question that might start a fight.  Your intent?  Nothing better to do?

Maybe Daniel Tosh will allow her a "web redemption" on his Comedy Channel show "Tosh.0"

An episode I watched last week featured a segment with a young lady about 15 years of age screwing up the national anthem before an NBA game. Now about 21, Tosh gave her a shot to redeem herself before a crowd at an Anaheim Ducks game. She nailed it. And then Tosh ran her into the boards in true NHL fashion!  tongue

He just found yet another topic to spam in without any purpose, he clearly didn't even watch.  roll

I thought it was a 'poor' SB, the lead never changed hands so there was a shortage of excitement. If only the Packer receivers had held on to a few more of Rodgers' unbelievable bullet throws the game would have been out of sight for the Steelers. I am now officially an Aaron Rodgers fan.  cool

I also agree with Rick (and many others) that the half-time 'entertainment' sucked big time. Nuff said.

Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

Went to my nephew's home yesterday where some family and friends gathered. True, the Packers held the lead the entire game, but it did get rather tight at the end. After the game I was so spent, I thought I had played in it. Today, I'm very tired.

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers for making it to their ninth Super Bowl having won six of them. And of course, congratulations to my own home team, The Green Bay Packers Super Bowl XLV Champions. I'm already looking forward to next year. wink  cool

Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

After all the injuries this year, I'm so impressed the Packers even made the playoffs, let alone win the SuperBowl. So proud of the guys. And of course to get #12 our of #4's shadow... that was huge for his career.

Wisconsin doesn't have great baseball, or great basketball... NO hockey team whatsoever - all we really have is football. So the Lombardi trophy means the world to us. Major congrats to the green and gold.

Congrats to you guys....The best team won...

(But I am starting to wonder if Vegas & betting has anything to do with final scores......?)

It goes much deeper than that. Did you happen to see the "X-Files" episode where the smoking man tells Mulder "The Buffalo Bills will never, ever win the Super Bowl".

Looking through the stats, alot of the numbers were close with Pittsburgh actually leading in several categories.

The one stat that is glaring (other than the final score) is turnovers.  Steelers had 3, Pack had 0.  Pack converted two of the turnovers into touchdowns.

As is the case in the regular season, the team with the fewest turnovers alsmost always wins, and that certainly was the case in this game.

Congratulations to the fine folks in Title Town

So very true.  She was more interested in showing off, about it being about her, then caring  about the song. So you screw up the words.

And then in the pre-game they have Michael Strahan interviewing celebrities about football just so they can plug the celebrities movies. Most of them didn't even have a clue or care about football.  Give them a lollipop they would have been happy.

I'm with ya JDawg, way too much hype and not enough substance.  Next time just get Frank Caliendo back FOX and have him do the whole show.

Re: Steelers going to the Super bowl for #7

A little before the half, I thought maybe the game was going to be one sided, but the Steelers kept fightin', the turnovers killed them.
Congrats to Green Bay, what a fantastic win.  And hi-five to Nic's comments.

For me, the highlight of halftime was Slash, however to quote Leon Russell, I think I'm a stranger in a strange land...  big_smile
