Topic: Recorded myself playing Just Got Paid with my JBLP

Hey guys,

I had just finished my exams in January there so I fired some fresh strings and lemon oil on my JBLP and decided I'd have a go at recording myself playing along to Just Got Paid.

I was undecided whether to upload or not as it's kinda rough round the edges, maybe partly due to the red light, mostly due to me big_smile lol. But I hope it might let you hear how my JBLP sounds going through a Tiny Terror, with a Boss GT8 to add in a delay, reverb, and OD pedal.

I might do another video of just myself to hear the tone more clearly, i'm not sure smile

WOW. Crazy good. I really enjoyed that.
Any hints on building speed? I can't quite shred like that yet.

Sounded good!  I played an orange Tiny Terror at GC a few weeks ago to test a pedal..very nice amp!  Nice chops btw!  -Seth

You play very well on a Les Paul.  I have about thrown in the towel on Les Pauls.  I guess I will be a Strat man forever.

Very sorry about that. it was hard to tell with the angle of the headstock watching on my phone. Still a great job!

Nick: Glad you enjoyed it smile. As for building speed, I think what worked for me was going over and playing that pentatonic scale patern as quickly as I could while trying to stay as accurate as possible and then over the years the speed got a little bit faster every so often. I still have a while to go before its as good as Joe's big_smile lol

Geob: Thanks man! Yeah there is a tab by the very talented JBJHJM from this forum. If you go to ultimateguitar.com you should be able to download it. The tabbed version is an earlier version than the one I was playing along to. The tabbed version is a bit more like it was played in 2007 but its only been minor changes since then smile. The tab is in Guitar Pro format so you can use either guitar pro or there is a free program called Tux Guitar which can read guitar pro files. I think there might be a PDF version of it aswell but you might need to ask JBJHJM for it.
