Topic: My name is...

Hey Everyone!

I thought I introduce myself so you know who I am and where I'm from...

My name is André and I'm from the Netherlands, a small (and most of the time rainy) country in Europe. I started playing guitar at the age of 16 (I'm now 35, since last friday), and only since last year do I know about Joe's Music! But it was love at first sound for me... What I love about his music is that he uses basic guitar riffs that are (to me) instant classics. They're fun to play and sound like... eeerrr... Well like Joe! His melodies are fantastic and Joe's voice is unique... Actually I would think that it is the same combination of talent that players like Hendrix and Moore(Gary) have..

Also, I'm a guitar teacher and I use Joe's music regularly, it has a nice mix between rock and blues and a lot of my students seem to like playing it... Lately I've been putting things online like guitar lessons and backing tracks, for anyone who wants to take a peek, you can check out my youtube channel and/or website... There's already some JB material there(tutorials and backing tracks) and I'm sure more will follow. I'm very curious what the next JB CD will sound like!

All the best to you guys!

André

Oh yeah, I mentioned the www's

Re: My name is...

Not a single welcome yet? For shame....maybe people were put off by your rather unusual user name and assumed you were a spammer. Welcome to another Dutchie!  wink

Anyway, if you spent any time reading this forum before you joined up you will know that there are quite a few Holland-based posters here, all of whom are Dutch, except me.  big_smile

We also have another very enthusiastic, Dutch member called Andre. Dit is een buitengewoon leuk forum, geniet ervan!

RIP Iron Man

Welcome, enjoying your videos, keep them coming!

I was fortunate to visit your country back in 2000, spent time in Den Haag and the "dam" had too much fun!  cool

Re: My name is...

Yeah I guess my name is a bit unorthodox,... unpersonal is a better word even... I hope people don't mind...

Nice to know that I'm not the only Dutchman here ;-)

Also funny,... some years ago I was the only Andre around, now they're poppin up every where! At work we have 4! Not like it's a great name so I'm kind of baffled.

Anyway,

thanks for the welcome!  big_smile
