Topic: Stevie Salas, Bogie, Tal, Carmine,

Stevie was kind enough to stop by the BS Blog and share some additional insights into the collective histories of Carmine, Tal, and Bogie. It's a small world!  smile

Re: Stevie Salas, Bogie, Tal, Carmine,

I can hear the conversation now. Joe: Damn, Bogie is quitting. Carmine: Hey, I know a guy...

Re: Stevie Salas, Bogie, Tal, Carmine,

I didn't realize those people are all on that album.  Glen was in fine form singing Stevie Wonder's "I Was Made To Love Her", but my favorite on The Sun and the Earth is "Soul Ecstacy".  Salas can get funky with best of them.  Here's a video of SS and TM Steven's gettin' down to James Brown's "Stand Up".  TM's double-neck bass is way cool.  Funky, funky, funky....

Re: Stevie Salas, Bogie, Tal, Carmine,

Stevie is a helluva player, very diverse, he and Carmine have some history as I've mentioned here before. He blows through Benicia now and again to hang with his close buddy Jimi Dunlop and the fun starts every time he does.
