I remember his shows well, the first to bring the live music rock show to TV I think. He invented the Monkees and the show. RIP.

Yes R.I.P
Wow...that brings back memories...staying up late and watching cool bands like UFO,Grand Funk etc....
On a "Mono" one speaker TV...no "Stereo" ones back then.I guess we were lucky to have cable instead of the Antenna on the roof with the rotor.
Man have the times changed since then!
And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........
