The same guy who originally turned me on to Joe also turned me on to various other blues artisits and bands at the same time, which he did by sending me a stack of CDs, and Lower Case Blues was one of them.  I haven't listened to that CD in a long time now, but I DO remember being pretty impressed with such a young band.  This was several years ago too... I'm sure they've gotten even better by now.  I think I'm gonna dig up that CD and maybe look up some more recent stuff online... your post has inspired me, Cathy!  wink

Vik:  In my opinion, they're actually better live than their studio recordings (which are excellent) and really nice guys to boot.  I met them in Rehobeth Beach a few years ago and have had the honor of sitting in with them at a few gigs.  The bassist/lead vocalist is extremely entertaining and plays a very unusual style.

When I first heard them they were sort of a blues-rock band, but they've leaned more towards jam-blues if that's a term...long jams that go from song to song and back....like a bluesy Dead.

Always a fun gig with the lower case blues boys.
