Rocket:  The link works (and ROCKS) but you might want to do a quick edit (see bolded type below)

You had to be there to feel the incredible rush of excitement of band and audience together in communion at the opening number!!! Quite emotional, as the thong took over the singing with strong voice. ...

You did mean THRONG, didn't you?  :-)  Can't wait until they start touring the US....look out!

Yes, thanks Carl.  I meant throng although I think many undies ended up a thong early on at the rocking Wolverhampton Civic Hall.  The place just burst into life! We have a lot of serious work to do promoting these fellows in the US of A.  I am going to call for a nationwide call to arms in the coming months for all the faithful to have a media blitzkrieg (apologies to European sensibilities, but the term fits for usage here) at the per person grass roots level.  Let's hope the new songs kick even more certifiably! Here is Song Of Yesterday from Black Country Communion in the Black Country (I originally mislabeled it as London and placed it in the London Review topic, Sorry...jet lag caught up today, I am awake one moment and asleep the next)!

Re: BCC Wolverhampton

I loved the album before I saw the 2 shows, now I love it even more. It gets better with every listen if that's possible. And after careful thought the Wolverhampton gig is my favourite of 2011 out of 50 concerts.

Glenn Hughes' voice popped one of my ears...quite literally...

I was checking some of the youtubes and am wondering was this during Beggarman? I mean it really did pop your ears? the youtube is not great quality but he hit it Halford style a couple times and I loved that. I mean did it cause you pain - or anyone else, i know a few of you said it but this is the post i dug up to quote.

man i hope to get to see/hear this on any official recording

Y'know...I think it was...
It was a loud gig, but his top end screams were sometimes punishing (in a good way). I think it dislodged some fluid behind my ear or something...almost totally deaf for a week. It's two weeks gone now and its a lot better, but I have still lost so much top end in the one ear. Hope it heals more and more.
Great sound...usually vocals are buried in the mix...not sure you could hide Glenn's vocals in any gig though...

Re: BCC Wolverhampton

As I said, my ear "popping" was not bad, it was the good kind.  It opened up my hearing a little better actually.  It indeed was a loud performance, got louder as it progressed, same in London...expected.  I did have a significant TTS (temporary threshold shift, where what you could previously hear is no longer heard) in that ear by the the second night, Shepherd's Bush, noticable immediately afterwards and beyond.  That's why Joe had to repeat the new driummer's name to me when my right ear was facing his words.
