We wonder what the rich people are doing today.
Rick and sated family.
Quiet day with just immediate family - we live multiple hours away from nearest family, so we get to stay home and relax. I love it. Kids have been playing new iPods/PSPs, wife took a nap this afternoon, I played the new Peavey HP Signature Blues for a couple of hours, and we enjoyed Steak Black Jack for dinner. Any meal where you get to pour Jack Daniels into a skillet full of steak and light it on fire is just way cool. Yay, alcohol and fire!! What a combo.
Favorite part - 13-year old daughter got an iPod Touch, and the first thing that she requested was to make sure that I put the Joe Bonamassa playlists on it. Not a problem.
Hope the holiday season is awesome for everyone.

Here's the Christmas wine line-up at cousin Dannys:
Krug champagne
JetsUncorked
Chateau Latour 1995
Penfolds Grange 2002
Some single vineyard Malbec from Catena (Danny says imported directly from Argentina)
Mondavi Reserve (2007?) (16.5% alcohol!)
1997 Leoville Las Cases
1/2 bottle of d'Yquem
What a great time we had
fuzzy
I'm snowed in with my hubby and 3 kids who are home from college, its GREAT!! Football, movies and baking all day long! My 19 year old was invited to go to the Eagles game that got canceled, which is a major bummer, because tomorrow morning he has a date with an oral surgeon to get 4 wisdom teeth out! I'm the designated driver, I hope the snow plows come.
WOW! I should have just asked, "what's everyone drinking for the day?"
Unfortunately, the group that showed up for Christmas are not much into wine. But I needed something to go with the Pork Loin Roast with Cranberries. So we had Laetitia Dry Riesling, Corison Gewurztraminer, Beckman Grenache Rose. The Rose has been the absolute best pairing wine for the holidays.
I will be having a fondue party in Jan. with some of the winemakers I know and that's when some of the French wines hiding in the closet might come out
I'm so glad that in spite of the weather, a lot of y'all are making the best of it. Hanging out with family & friends is what makes life wonderful.

Well, your handle on the topic name suggested the response.
Santa, knowing my California bias, sneaked a 98 C. de Sales Pomerol under the tree. I think it needs drinking soon.
