Topic: Loop Pedals

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying a loop pedal after christmas to help me improve both my rhythm and improv. by playing over myself. I've been looking at the Boss pedal for a while so wonder if any of you use them and could give me an opinion? Or perhaps some of you use a good alternative?

Re: Loop Pedals

I like my Line 6 DL4 for looping, besides you get the bonus of a lot a great sounding delays and tap tempo all in one easy package.

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Re: Loop Pedals

I have a Digitech Timebender which is an amazing delay and a killer looper. What I love about the Timebender more so then some of the other delays is that it ticks down the time left in your loop. Its only 20 seconds but you really don't need more than that. Here is a demo but I don't remember if they show the loop. Its really easy to use one click on, one click off.

Re: Loop Pedals

I use the Boss RC20XL unit - I like it!! All loop pedals I've tried sometimes have hiccups when recording the first chord you play, if for 2 or less beats or less than a measure in 4/4 timing....sometimes and or operator error. smile

DL4/Keeley modded or Akai Headrush...great fun.
