Topic: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

Good Day,

I'm looking to purchase a Strymon blueSky Reverberator, AND

I want to know if any of you'se out there, have tried one out

and what your opinions of the system are?

What I've heard in sound bytes, and on YouTube, I have been impressed.

Here's the link to the website: http://www.strymon.net/products/bluesky/

I'm curious if Joe has had a chance to DEMO one, and if he liked the results.

Appreciate any input..THANKS for chiming in

Take care and Happy Holidays and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Cheers Mates

PS I don't work for Strymon or have any association with the company.

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

I just got the El Capistan dTape Echo and it's amazing. These guys are some brilliant engineers that are building these circuits.

There is a hidden set of features on the El Cap Pedal that allows it to also go to a 'verb setting which is really nice.

Still- for my new Pedalboard I am going with the Boss RV-5

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

I posted about this pedal about a week or so ago. It sounds incredible!
Sadly though if I get the money to get that I'll probably find something else to buy. One of those wee problems in life haha.

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

Good Day,

Bought one off TGP. Should have by the weekend.

If you guys are interested, I'll post my thoughts after

I have a chance to put it thru its paces.

Cheers

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

Good Day,

Jimi_lp.......

Haven't done so yet (made a YouTube Vid) but it's not say, I can't figure out a way to do it.

Meantime, here's a link to Strymons WebSite and it has demo's of the Blue Sky, plus there's

plenty of demos on YouTube http://www.strymon.net/products/bluesky/

Once I have it, I give it go mate, and see what I can get done for you.

Cheers,

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

Good Day,

Got the blueSky...It was worth the wait. I played around with it all weekend.

This device is great. It adds an ambiance to the sound, an ambiance that I was having

difficulty getting with just spring reverb.  It added some more depth, or deepness to the audio,

when used with my delay.

I tried it with, and without  my Line 6 DL4 delay, and I much preferred it with, rather than without,

I was impressed with the all the features that the blueSky offered, especially the shimmer effect,

when you turn up the decay to max, and adjust the mix correctly, you can do things that will make

you smile...I was doing little ditties, that you could have sworn, sounded like The Edge in U2.

I was also happy with the control functions, and the different levels of "tweakability" the system

offered. I have an older Roland Digital SVR2000, rack mount reverb system, and it has 6 different

levels / parameters of control, but honestly, the blueSky was much easier to "dial in", and overall,

the sound was exceptional. I ran it in stereo mode, utilizing both right and left outputs thru my

Crate V32 effects loop, by using a Y cable, and then running one side back to my loop, and the

other to my Fender HRD3 effects loop.

The system isn't cheap, but I'm happy with the results. It beats my Roland DD and

both of my Spring reverb systems, hands down. I'm working on some audio samples..

I'll report back soon.

Cheers

Re: Has anybody tried the Strymon blueSky Reverberator?

Good Day,

Strymon has advised me, via email Newletter, that there are a limited amount of the BSR's available

If anyone here is interested. Up until recently they were unavailable.
