Topic: After about a year

I have been "lurking" on this forum for about a year and have decided that I need to officially join you fine group of folks. Quality people attract quality people...right? wink

My Hubby & I FINALLY got to see Joe at Bass Hall in Ft.Worth last March. We are looking forward to seeing him in Dallas in Feb.

Just to let y'all know; I have a "day" job that pays the bills (I'm trapped in a grey cubicle as a customer service rep) but my passion is wine! I'm a certified sommelier and it is my fun part-time job. I hope the part-time status changes soon.

Take Care Y'all,
Lori

Re: After about a year

Welcome Lori.

Great bunch of folks here.

And if you can recommend a really nice Zin and/or Sirah, I'd be mighty happy

Re: After about a year

Thanks for the welcome

I can tell you like big bold wines if you drink Zin (not white Zin) and Syrah and you live in a great state for Zin.

I love 4 Vines, Cline, Fess Parker....to only name a tiny few...and those are California!

I think this thread might get a little out of hand if I keep answering wine questions....perhaps we need a separate section  big_smile

Re: After about a year

Welcome Lori. Another wine lover here. Start a thread in Off Topics and we can all give our input. I know Joe is a wine lover, and there are quite a few more enofreaks here too.  smile Clos Pegase, Spring Mountain, Navarro, Rutherford Hill and Vergari: a few of my friends.

Re: After about a year

Welcome on the forum.
With your passion regarding wines you're not alone here, though I don't think there is another Sommelier around.
Just ordered some good stuff or what I think is good stuff from Markus Schneider, Ellerstadt, Pfalz, Germany: "Ursprung", "Black Print" and "Alte Reben". Red wine from Germany!  lol
And yes, we need a new topic about wines with you on board.
Wish you a good time and lots of fun here.

Re: After about a year

Thank you Blues.
Red wine from Germany.....should be interesting.... wink

Oh Yeah I forgot to tell you Brack to tell your brother, "good luck" with his studies.
It really is not an easy course.

I will probably post something tonight in "Off Topics".

I like to make wine fun...no wine snobs allowed! lol

now off to my job that pays the bills sad
