Flat lucky they caught him before he used them. Flat unlucky for the poor gardener who set off some junk he threw out on the dirt that exploded when walked on. A real hazard to society and just a neighbor to those around him...

I pass the location twice daily at a maximum distance of 1 1/2 miles.  Viewed from the south today, more than 4 hours after the burn, a large white pollutant cloud spread as far as the eye could see throughout the valleys, with a hanging pattern VERY much looking like smog hangs in the so-called temperature inversion layer that "wasn't" supposed to be there.  Smog hasn't been around for a while...I know the smog patterns, can tell how bad it is in L.A. and inland L.A. even more.  Hopefully every explosives sniffing dog was flown hundreds of miles away, the particulates which WILL be around tomorrow damages their sniffing.  The guy is whatever, the handling of the situation somewhat dubious.  Very very dangerous material, and all facts will not be forthcoming in the case.
