Topic: 2 Memorable nights in Orlando

I want to begin by extending my deepest appreciation to Joe Bonamassa and his band for 2 great shows in Orlando. The level of dedication, energy, and professionalism was beyond impressive. I attended both shows and they were phenomenal. I’m still trying to process what I just witnessed as these were my first Joe Bonamassa shows.

On night 2 I brought my 12 year old daughter, and she is still ecstatic. We were fortunate to be in the front row, and at times it seemed like Joe was playing just to us. As if the show wasn’t memorable enough, the best was yet to come. At the end of the show Keyboardist Rick Melick walked right over to my daughter and presented her with the highly coveted Set list. Then as Joe was waving to the crowd he personaly presented my daughter with another highly coveted item, his Guitar pick. Then Bass Player Carmine Rojas handed her his Set list as well. WOW! Does it get any better….YES.

We proceeded to the Tour bus area and waited in 45 degree weather (Freezing for Orlando FL) After 30 minutes Joe appears and begins to meet and great with the 20 or so of us who had waited. He immediately recognized my daughter (Amanda) and asked her “Did you get the pick I gave you?”  With joy she said “Yes” He graciously signed her newly acquired Set list addressing it to Amanda, as well as a few other photos for her brother. Topping off the night was a picture with Joe that is soon to be developed and placed in a frame with all the other gifts from Joe and the Band. On the way to the car she said “Wow dad, he is so nice…… I really like him, when can we see him again?” Well, Melbourne is only an hour away. If not she said you’ve got to take me when he comes back to Orlando. I said you got a date!

Joe, Thank you for a great weekend of music. Thank you for your generosity. And thank you for a memorable night between a Father and his Daughter.

Yeah, when I walked by you last night and saw that you were front row with your girl, I said to you "Good seats, good job.  Enjoy..." or something to that effect...  It's awesome to see what a positive effect the Joe Bonamassa band has on young people ... and vicey versy.

"Does it get any better?  Yes!"    smile    Very COOL!

Another wonderful story involving Joe and a young'in. There was a time fans below the age of 40+ were rare. It's wonderful to see so many young people "on the Bonatrain". Warms my heart. Joe and the entire band seem to know how to remain grounded, in tune with their fans. Such a blessing. So it sounds like your Joe Shrine has begun big_smile  Warning..before you know it you'll need a new room! Thanks, Cathy
