Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

Is the metal 4 button switcher in the middle for preset loops, or an amp switcher?  Very cool though!  -Seth

It's a looper.  I usually only use two amps and I've got an offboard switcher for that. I left off my clone pedals for the most part.  I generally don't take those anywhere as they attract more attention than the real ones. smile

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

For those of you who have posted their boards on here, are they still the same, anyone made any changes. I have mine now goes,

Cry baby
Dunlop Hendrix Fuzz
Boss TR2
Pork Loin
TS808
Dunlop Octave Fuzz
Fulltone Deja Vibe
Box of Rock
DD3

I tried to imagine a board that was the cross between Joe, Bonamassa, Philip Sayce, Mato Nanji and Mike Mcready. All these running into a cornell plexi 7.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

Yep, mines changed.........
To just a polytune now. Though torn between what od or booster to add. Also want an autowah real bad.

Fender 60's Strat>Fulltone OCD V4>>TC Electronics Polytune>Orange Dual Terror>Torres 2x10 Cab(with a vintage 30 and a greenback)

Didn't think I'd be the only one. Boost and OD pedals, now that is a difficult subject. I'm gonna get in before strat paul guy and suggest the fulldrive 2, Only kiddin stratpaulguy.

Ibanez TS808

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

I go from all pedals to no pedals (other than tuner)...

I'm settling back into a board now (thanks to Marc Ford - but my wallet doesn't thank him).

Going with:

S.R Turbo Tuner
Analogman Beano Boost
Analogman NKT275 Fuzz
H.B.E Power Screamer
Vox V848 Wah/RMC Wah
Loads of different univibes - for the Mojovibe next...

(I'm thinking of asking one of you very nice American sirs if you could purchase a KR Musical Megavibe for me in the UK - impossible to get here).

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

i'm still down to a polytune. keep wanting to add a boost or some kinda modulation. i need a gear shopping day. pity there's no local forum peeps that wanna join me.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

nice clean board... you seem to like Overdrive & Distortion pedals... there are quite some different ones on the board...  wink  ...this BLACKSTAR dual pedal looks interessting. I googled for it on the web a bit...

I have modified my board a bit again... I relocated the Leslie-16-switch and the tuner. So I gained space for two more pedals...  big_smile  ...relocated the BOSS reverb pedal and added the BOSS Chorus and the MRX phaser...

Yeah - I love overdrive and distortion and have 3 or 4 different settings ranging from slight overdrive through crunch to distortion to metal.

I am a big Blackstar fan and love the HT-Dual. It runs off a dedicated 16V AC power supply (which is a bit of a pain) but it's worth it. It is valve driven with a ECC83 which runs off 300V and has 2 channels. Superb. I also use the Blackstar Artisan 30H head which is the best amp I've owned in 35 years - blows Marshall, Mesa/Boogie and the boutique labels away. Blackstar was formed by ex-Marshall designers so they know a thing or 2 about amps - especially overdrive!

I AM NOT YOUNG ENOUGH TO KNOW EVERYTHING

That looks great, but what's the amp standing next to the blues junior?

Sponsor me a flight to the UK and you have a shopping buddy.

Though it would be useless to me since the voltage is different.

OK, thanks! What sort of sound gives it? Just that old school Marshall-sound? I like that.... I can't find some examples on youtube....well.....not the combo version....

Pure vintage Marshall. It's the best 'clone' I have heard anyway.

+1 for the cornell! I have the plexi 7. An absolute tone machine. Miss reverb though!

Do you? I never do. Never really liked reverb when good delay is available. I have an RVV10 in my rack (BOss's RV5 in a rack unit) and I never use it.

I did ask Den if he could mod mine with an FX loop and he said there's not enough room to do it properly. :-(

I would add his customer service is second to none- when I build my pedal board he send me grille cloth and tolex free of charge and would not take a penny depsite me offering....I used the grille cloth for the vents at the back, and when I do the final build (early next yr) I shall cover it in green tolex.

My favourite artist of all time is Neil Young (sorry Joe) so to have a guitar sound with no reverb is strange to me. I'm not drenching the tone in reverb just a splash.
