Topic: Solution for the amp that has no fx loop

Is there any other solution or good fx loop pedal you would recommend I have a blues jr. amp and i try to play my boss dd3 delay and it seems that is too much delay im getting.my setting of dd3 is all on the middle..

Just turn the knob furthest left (mix i think) down. I have mine in front of my amp and it sounds fine. All my settings are at 12 apart from the mix. I only have it at around 8 o'clock.

He means the "level" control.  It's a lot more sensitive when placed up front instead of a loop, but you CAN dial it in.  I find my Echoplex's to work stellar in front of amps so not all delays sound like poo poo without effects loops.

Digital often sound a bit sterile in front of amps, analogue not so much.
But yeh, turn the level down and it'll sound fine.
That's how I'm running my DD3 just now.

I added a FX Loop from Skipz circuits to my 1977 JMP 800 MV 50 watt Combo, for $60.00 USDLRS works great.

Skip is a great guy, and was there for support all along the way. He supplied a complete diagram for wiring in the loop..notice I said DIAGRAM..not schematic. All the components were there in the diagram, just like looking at the chassis. No guess work as to what went where. Took about 1.5 hours to install, taking my time. I did it in such a way so that I can convert back
my Marshall with no evidence that it had been violated. Contact me via PM if you want more info.

How can you do that when you're supposed to drill holes in the chassis for the effects loop send/return jacks???

Quite simply mate, I purchased a black plastic enclosure from my local electronics store

and installed the unit in the enclosure, and then velcro' d it to the back side of the amp,

thus, No holes were drilled in the amp, and NOTHING was altered that could not be changed

back.

I have my DD3 running in the front too and have the same problem as you. I turned the level down and it sounds pretty good.  I have decided that no matter where the delay is placed or effect you have no ones tone is going to sound like Joe's or Gary Moore's or Eric Johnson, Robben Ford's etc.  I was trying to get it for a while.  It is how they play and there volume and tone knobs and the volume that they are playing at.  I think I am going to install the Loop on my amp just like aussiemeats.  It was a great idea and thanks for the pics!!!

In fact, one could replace the bypass switch with a 1/4" jack and plug a single button footswitch into it for remote bypass.
