Just last Wednesday I was at the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg (not even for a blues show, it was The Machine), and I overheard two separate groups of people in the lobby raving about JB and how they'd first seen him on Palladia. I've also wanted to mention for a while now, there have been various times when I've tried to get on the forum and the site was down, so on a hunch I'd go and check my TV listings and whadaya know, Joe was airing on Palladia right then. Not that the site crashing is a good thing of course, but it is clear evidence of Palladia's effectiveness as a promo tool. Just imagine how many MORE members we'd have right now if everybody who tried to get onto the site could've gotten in.

It's ironic, Vik. I just got back from Nashville and I had realized on my flight that I had forgotten to mention the influence the Palladia airing of the partial Joe Bonamassa Live at The Royal Albert Hall had had upon several of the Bonavirginal people I met and talked with before the show Friday. To a person they were instantly hooked in. Is there a direct correlation between the re-airings and the website crash? It could as easily be no as it could be yes, definitely. However, even ONCE of it being the latter would be a serious matter that really should be considered as much as the genius of broadcasting on Palladia in the first place. I'd like to think anyone that seriously interested would certainly try to look again. Then again, I am a believer that these 4,444+ numbers are skewed to people who glanced and left and look at YouTube, shop the retail and online CD/DVD/iTunes stores and go their merry way, spread the word quietly or maybe not even at all (some people DO actually get possessive about artists, I know this for a fact, that some of every genre like to think they have their own special little "secret") and are "yet" (special quotation emphasis for a much later topic) buying great tickets early just as any regular here thank-you very much. A great, good point. Thanks for raising it.
