Topic: West Coast Seattle Boy

Has this latest offering from the Hendrix vaults alreadybeen mentioned?  I cherry pick on these things and the first song I got was "Everlasting First" which is Arthur Lee of Love fame singing with Jimi.  This is a great song that I feel would be a good one to cover by one of our modern axe-slingers.  I found a two minute snippet of it on the Net a couple years ago and sent it to Aynsley Lister, but never heard back about it.  There's also a fine instrumental of "Castles Made of Sand".  The recording on the two disc set is of high quality.  The Isley's "Move Over and Let Me Dance" showcases the young Hendrix early in his career.  Definitely worth checking out for fans.

There was a thread a while back covering the release of the new material and the CD. I think that the heirs will keep the ball rolling by releasing a trickle of "newly discovered" tracks. There are some gems in there as you say. Just have to cherry pick the goodies from the chaff. Thanks Curby.
