Tried that last night (not) - but I did see it happen once and Joe actually cracked up and had to stop - too funny. I'd also like to hear someone yell "Play it again" when he's done.
Have fun Bill - you will be blown away tonite!

Bill originated the yelling thing & that cracked Joe up. I believe Joe also threw a pick at Bill...back in the early daze of the song.

One of them taciturn Nor'easterners. I think it's a regional handicap.

Hey, I am one of those taciturn Nor'easters!! No, really! Shows you what happens when you hit San Diego, where everyone is a chatterbox to everyone they meet (I guess it's San Diego's version of the Nor'easters way of waving to everybody on your street as you drive by them or as they drive by you, even on the back country roads) except to their next door neighbors, whom they can't stand!!!
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
and don't be shy about telling it to person next to you at the grocery store, post office, DMV line, air terminal, rest room, pedestrian crosswalk, traffic jam, jail cell, car pool, person you bumped into while you both are gawking at your cell phones...,

Yep, that San Diego friendliness is contagious. We even say hi to the next door neighbors, (except for the !@#$%^ to the west!)

Taciturn?! No, New Yorkers just happen to be a hell of a lot cooler than you West Coasters... we don't need a lot of words to describe something LOL
Ben
Hey Ben - sorry I didn't get to meet you! I got to meet Gloria at the show, she was very nice.
The show was outstanding. I say this over and over, but every time I see Joe he gets better and better. The back lights added a nice look to the stage presence, they really looked good during Just Got Paid when the JB logo was shown the background. Joe started the show off with Cradle Rock, it was my first time seeing it live. What an intro, he did a nice little jam into the song. Joe then finally got to Slow Train, which is my new favorite song. The cool part about this song is the opening, its like the opening of Just Got Paid. He gets the crowd going and rips right into the song. This song though has the most insane soloing I've ever seen from Joe. He plays so frickin' fast it is unbelievable. Another highlight for me was Never Make Your Move Too Soon... that's another tune that I've never seen live before and it's from the so called vault.
I also was lucky enough to hang out with Joe before and after the show. Joe was more than nice to the fans and the meet n greet was great. I got to meet some really cool folks - don't know they're on the forum yet though. I was also able to chat with Roy, what a great manager. Was nice speaking again with you! Rick you too are great, was fun speaking to you. Thanks for standing up to those security guards! Thanks again Joe, it was a blast.
Bill
PS - The venue security was a bit overbearing, they kept busting people for taking pics / video - they didn't understand that it was allowed. I was able to get a video of Just Got Paid using my iPod and put it up on youtube here:

The show is up on dime, thanks to joebeacon and the quality kicks @$$!
"Well I just got paid today, got me a pocket full of change..."
Do you know Bill, that's the very first song I ever heard Joe perform live? And even though Jane thinks it's funny, I was lucky to capture that first moment with an old camera I had. It still gives me goose bumps thinking back to that time and the caption under "The Picture" describes my feelings at that moment.

Thanks for the review and video Bill! March isn't too far away and then it wil be our turn in Wisconsin!

How long has it been since you've seen JB Roy?
I will be seeing him in March too.

What an awesome experience it was to see Joe and his amazing band perform live for the first time! Was so thrilled to get a M&G too from the Lithgraph package I bought All the driving from NJ to CT and money spent for this show was so worth it.
Was nice meeting Joe, Bill & his girl, Ben and other's I saw there as well. Joe has the coolest fans!
I was able to get some pics and planned to get some good videos too but the annoying security kept stopping everyone that tried to take vids, ugh

On March 8th Bill, it will be two years; that's what I call a serious Joe-drought! I'm well beyond withdrawal now after being admitted to the hospital several times with what my dosctors referred to as (JDS) Joe-Deficiency Syndrome and Bonalackitis. However, with the proper medicine and oitments, I seem to have made a full recovery.
That was a heck of a day back on March 8th, 2009 with Joe first putting on an excellent guitar clinic around noon... http://www.flickr.com/photos/8384830@N0 … 055923441/
And then a full show at Turner Hall at night... http://www.flickr.com/photos/8384830@N0 … 141468078/
Really looking forward to the Pabst Theater show in Milwaukee on March 12th. I think that's going to be a very classy place to see Joe. Actually, it's not all that far from his old stomping grounds at Shank Hall. I'm sure I'll make both that one and the Green Bay show the night before.
Roy
P.S. I stand corrected. There was one other show after the March 2009 show in Milwaukee. It was the RAH show in London! How could I ever forget that one!! Maybe old age is creeping in?
Roy, I was about to remind you!!! See what a severe case of it does to a fan?!
Nice recovery, hang in there brother!
Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Thanks Rocket! I was about to start getting the shakes again until I realized I forgot to include the RAH show! I better get some more medicine before March, just in case.
Roy
TOO dang close to 2 years period, end of story! Pay heed all you newbie first timers! This man has the steady nerves of an entomological brain surgeon! Reduced to near tearing his heart out!
Relent and repent and forgo the rent! Get to your next Joe Bonamassa Performance before it IS TOO LATE!!
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
