Topic: My tone

Just thought I'd share some good luck, I've had.....After two weeks of endless tweaking pedals going in and out of the board, I finally got one and a half of four tones that I have been dreaming of.

The half is the clean tone which I am generally happy with till I listen to some Eric Johnson....lol....it has some reverb and a slapback delay effect running, (which I prefer much more compared to the full drawn out delay) and eventually some chorus. (when I get my EH holy grail reverb) I can't do anything more with the clean tone unless i change the amp (from a Fender SCXD)
Then the dirty rhythm (similar to Eric Johnsons) which has the reverb and the delay again.

Thats all I've gotten so far.......the tone to work on would be a lead tone, so a tube amp with or maybe without one pedal (overdrive) just to boost it a bit.
And lastly, what i would call a backup tone....a different tube amp, probably a marshall something, that I switch to to run straight in without any effects for the days when everything sounds like rubbish.

Re: My tone

any clips?

Re: My tone

Sorry, not at the moment....its not possible right now. My camera mic is not great at all and I don't have any sort of recording set up.

I have thought up of my lead tone though. Currently I doubt that I will be able to add another amp, so the lead tone will be reverb and a zendrive 2 into the scxd.

So it will run guitar into a ABY pedal, which will select either rhythm or lead tone. The rhythm consists of a clean tone and the dirty tone with the pork loin that sounds really creamy.

So its similar to EJ's setup in that selection for lead or rhythm and in the rhythm, selection for clean or dirty.

It differs in that there will be no second AB box to switch from clean to dirty, because my dirty rhythm is just an added Way Huge Pork Loin to the exact same clean setup.
