I definitely wouldn't be surprised if more people started doing this. The prices for the vintage Fenders, most especially Silver faces, are low enough that it would be an "investment" to buy one. I think more people seem to be catching on to that fact. As long as it's in relatively good condition and it works, and you keep it that way after you buy it, chances are that it might be worth double (or maybe more) many years from now. Kind of amazing what happens to stuff when you let it age for 50 years, huh?
