Topic: amp solution

Not sure what to do, i have a marshall dsl50 head and 2x12 cab which i find is too loud to reach its full potential in the small pubs and bars that i play (great amp though) , now do i get a orange dual terror head which is lower wattage and a lot lighter or go down the dual amp road and get a dsl combo and small fender amp, or just get the dsl combo on its own so i only have to lug one item about. decisions  decisions ? What do you reckon guys.

Re: amp solution

If you already have the DSL just stick with that unless you're GASSING.
An attenuator might be a solution.

Re: amp solution

Yeah you might as well just keep the DSL.  Silly to get rid of it, only to buy pretty much the same thing again.  Could even try putting cardboard in front or a blanket over your 2x12.  This will muffle the sound, but you can work around that.  I kind of like how it "warms" my tone when I do it.  You could try the dirtier channel, it helps give you more balls at lower volumes.  If I absolutely was set on selling it, I'd just buy to 15w heads and keep the 2x2 cab.  -Seth
