Topic: My First Les Paul

Hey guys, I just wanted to share my excitement of having my first Les Paul, an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I have 2-3 Strats I've been wanting a Les Paul for quiet a while. I met a guy on Craigslist willing to trade for a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I'm glad I did, I love this thing.

Here she is with the other girls...

In my opinion ya done good! Congratulations!

Re: My First Les Paul

Congrats!!  I myself, never owned a Les Paul until within the last year.  I own, and have owned several guitars through the years, and always wanted a Paul, but never bit the bullet and bought one.  Now, I know what ALL the fuss is about!  Way to go, there's nothing like them! -Seth

That's my '78 Stratocaster, a monster of a guitar.  She's so heavy and the neck is so big it'd make a Gibson blush... but she sounds sooooooo good.

Re: My First Les Paul

Yeah she is a great guitar. I'm still in the honeymoon stage and have been playing her nonstop since I got her.  I've played my Strats just enough to keep them from getting jealous.

I've been playing Strats since I started but always liked the sound and the look of Les Pauls.  When I dropped into guitar stores I always skipped the Strats to check out the LP's. I had planned to buy a Les Paul next year and was deciding between a Gibson Studio, the upcoming JP Epiphone LP or an Epiphone LP Custom. This Custom popped up at the right time so I grabbed her and have been wearing a big smile ever since.  big_smile
