depends how much you want one if its in good condition and a 2555 then up to £1500 would be
about right . the problem with the Jubilee is they were only made for 1 year so they are much rarer than say a 2203 which you could get for £600 . if you are not bothered about cosmetic detail then a new ceritone clone which is hand wired would be cheapest option , however the jubilee is a cool looking amp IMO
Acctually the Silver Jubilee was only made for one year but Marshall made them in black for 2 more years 88 & 89 same amp different tolex and then the SLash amp was released sometime in the mid to late 90's I think also the same amp. So if your only looking for tone and not resale or the sliver color then look for a black one.

There's a 2553 Silver Jubilee on fleebay right now for $1500 USD. Thats the max I would even consider paying for a 25/50 and the amp had better be in top condition.
I have 3 - 2555's. 1 silver and 2 black. There are no tonal differences between the silver or the black and I know of no component differences either. There may be with the 2555sl reissues, but I haven't played one so I can't say for sure. If you want to pay extra for the silver tolex be my guest.

They're going for about £1500...
Really...if it weren't for the hype...you'd be thinking around £1k
2553's being the small box head do not fetch the money the large boxes do for some reason. 1500 is way to high for the 2553.....would be about right for a 2550....of course values are subjective at best. Nothing is worth more than someone will pay
The guy at the repair shop I took my 2553 in black to a few years ago offered me $1200 for mine, I turned him down because I won't sell it.
I would not have sold it either
