Topic: YouTube Jams

Here is a link to my Youtube page.

The most recent uploads are of me and a 22yr old drummer who interns for me. We just plugged in and went at it. I came up with new material as I went along. We don't have a band, and never really played together... so it was a really cool experience. Got about a dozen new concepts to pick through and develop!

I also got to use my Rivera halfstack and my Line6 Flextone II XL. I had the Line 6 set to a clean Marshall tone with mild delay (almost too mild) and used the channel switching on the Rivera for dirty and clean. It was pretty fun, as my band wouldn't normally have the room (or patience) to try these new things!

The guit-fiddle I used was my trusty black 1973 Les Paul Custom (volute w/skinny neck).  cool

Re: YouTube Jams

I say forget the other band and start something with the drummer. Get a good keyboard player and forget about bass and have a three piece like the doors.  big_smile

That drummer is really good and I'd keep him around.

Re: YouTube Jams

nice

jammin with a drummer is real cool and fun .

but  I think eventually it misses some bass

"Everybody's entitled to my opinion. wink

Re: YouTube Jams

Thanks guys!

Yeah it wasn't only missing bass, it was missing lyrics. But not bad for an impromptu session. I think I got some usable stuff out of it. The kid is getting his Masters in Biology, so he doesn't have time to be in a band right now.  sad

Re: YouTube Jams

Is it kosher if I post the youtube channel for my band?  We recently uploaded (this am) some live videos of us from a Flip cam...  not a jam but does it count?

Re: YouTube Jams

Alright y'all, go easy on me!  I am the dude with the Firebird on the right!  Again pardon the overall quality since it was just a stationary Flip cam and our first time trying it.

Nic, that's a good, woody tone! Seems like the drummer (as well as you) knows how to jam and listen for cues.
