Topic: Colt 45 band
On Saturday night I had the privilege of seeing four very talented young men produce an amazingly energetic, well rehearsed and top notch set for a very enthusiastic audience whose ages ranged from the young through to the more mature <ahem>. These incredible four young guys have such a great future ahead of them and to think that they are aged between 15 and 17 beggars belief!
The forum’s own Rus Scagell is on lead guitar and plays with an assuredness of someone much older. He’s a pretty amazing player. Wonder if he’s ever been told that he looks a bit like a young Jimmy Page? 
These young lads know how to rock and delivered a set which included some old favourites from Free, Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin and Queen, as well as some newer stuff like the Foo Fighters and Green Day. Didn’t matter though if you were young or old, every body was having a great time.
The guys have a record deal signed and will release a CD of their own material next year. I’ll certainly be buying a copy and catching them live again at a venue near me soon. Nice to see the future of rock is in safe hands.
