Topic: Speaker Identification

I'm really having a hard time telling what speakers came with this 4x12 cabinet. It was a Rivera cabinet I got used... and they obviously swapped out the original speakers with these.

All the label says on the back is Eminence Legend, but it doesn't say which model?

It could be any of these....
LEGEND 1218           
LEGEND 1258        
LEGEND GB128        
LEGEND V128

How do I tell?

The Label looks just like this, but I'm imagining all of them do... and no model number is printed on them.

Unfortunately, it was rewired mono and the stereo plug was taken out and taped over. The speaker cables look like clear home stereo cable. But that's another story.

I found the answer on the eminence FAQ page... just in case anyone is interested...  big_smile

I have a Legend speaker, how can I tell which model it is ?
There is a black, rubber boot on the magnet.  Remove the boot and you will find a gray magnet label, on the magnet and adjacent to the terminal, with the model name/specification number on it.

UNFORTUNATELY, I just checked my speakers, and there is not rubber boot, and I dont see any model name or spec. on it. sad
