It's kind of dubious to just blame it on being stoned/addicted with "cannabis". He reportedly has been quite depressed and not sleeping well at all, topped off by anti-depressants. Toss those all together and get behind the wheel of a huge, heavy clumsy moving vehicle which can only be safe when given clear clean sober attention to deftly maneuvering without physically induced concoctions, gadgets or actions of distraction having nothing to do with safe navigation, and the oft ignored state of mind sans all the preceding (not recommended to be driving angry, including road rage, depressed, including crying, eating, or expressing or feeling over ebullient actions or emotions). The full jail term may not produce the effect hard-nosed opinions earnestly seek. Yes, could've been worse, killing someone "innocent"...However, reflect a moment, and regardless or inclusive of feelings about George Michael as far as what he has done for a living, if he alone had crashed and died, some ready to judge so quickly might be prone to feel some "pity"...sometimes that is needed without the "worst" happenening...
Just saying...ANYONE close to George has to HELP him get HELP...He obviously needs someone and some help, as what he was getting has obviously terribly crashed (no pun intended at all) upon failure for him.
