possibly decades; his slide duel with (presumably) Trucks is superb.

'A ROBIN REDBREAST IN A CAGE SETS ALL OF HEAVEN IN A RAGE' - William Blake

Re: God's best original material in years!!!

Enjoyed the slide play.

I would say though that there's only one Clapton co-write on the album. I guess inspiration has been a problem for Clapton since he became a millionaire!  neutral

ouch, hsrsh but fair. Didn't realise it was that few mind. Knew there were some covers on there but the previews made it sound like he contributed a fair few new tunes himself, not just the one. Who wrote the new ones? Cale? Bramhall? Anyone know?

Me neither, just clarifying the comment about original material.

Ah, understood. Listening to the clips, this to me is a lot different than what I've heard from Clapton in the past. Lots of almost orchestral stuff almost it seems. It's different, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. It is Clapton after all. That's why I listen to him. To see where he's going to go next.

Yeah and Doyle's a little "out there" so with him as co-producer, I would expect this be a little...different

Re: God's best original material in years!!!

I tried to find the link to the full cuts but it wasn't there. I did listen to the clips and it sounds like Clapton with some nice cuts. Thanks for the link.
