A used R9 will get you there. You only have to spend some time searching for YOUR instrument.
It's a good investment, too, - they tend to go up in price.

Hahah. My comment was (in fact) not fair at all. Sorry about the glib response. You are totally right about to each his own
Those old LP standards and reissues certainly have a acoustic signature that is very different from the PRS or any single cutaway type guitar for that matter.
The Collings City Limits is a dream guitar but not at all like the Les Paul.
My beef with the PRS has always been that the action is too damn low. Still- If I could run around a neck like Johnny Hiland I might get with the program.

Maybe lower action would help? I read somewhere that Jerry Reed played with super low action, almost buzzing (and light strings I think) to help him jump around the neck as fast as he did.
By the way, I've heard a couple of clips of your playing, and you don't sound like you're having any problem at all running around the neck! Smoking player!
If you wish to get a Bonaburst, you will have to arrange for an intermediary to purchase and ship it. Wildwood won't sell or ship to a non US address.

...i just had to smile when i read that!.. lucky ol` me!... Stan still smells gorgeous Pickle!
PRS guitars are fantastic guitars. Paul Reed Smith has a gift for sure. I cant say that he makes a "better" guitar... but he makes one of the best quality guitars on the planet for sure. His Single cuts are awsome guitars.
That said for some reason I cant get into PRS. I dont know if its totally a mental thing. He created a bridge between Fender and Gibson and Thats cool... But I own Fenders and Gibsons. For some reason with the exception of a wicked Modern Eagle I played I've never really gotten excited about a PRS.
Guitars that are different than Gibsons or fenders that I really dig are Gretsch Duo Jets "just bought one". Or even Rickenbackers. Deusenbergs are really nice too.
PRS is great and TONS of people LOVE them. So are they better than my Custom Shop R8... I dont care.
