Are you treating for my airfare and letting me stay at your home Günter?

First half of the question: if I win in the lottery next weekend, second half: with pleasure. By the way: you would meet David (Curryman) and Thomas.

Yep, I'll be there alright. Flying out to Berlin on the morning of the 21st, seeing Mule with Günter and Thomas in the evening, a bit of sightseeing on the 22nd and home on the 23rd.
A very nice mini-break. Sure you can't join us Roy? Can't stretch to the airfare but I'll buy the beer

I'd love to David, but my daughter's teeth, or lack thereof, is running me a small fortune. Actually, it's not such a "small" fortune anymore. Hmmmm.....drinking beer in Berlin with the Boys at a Mule show, sounds fabulous! One thing though, wouldn't the 4 of us pose some sort of age restriction limit?

Also, for those in the Philly area, there's a show on Sat 8/14 at Great Plaza at Penn's Landing... I'm not familiar with the venue, but it's outdoors, unseated, and general admission. All tickets are $39.50, with NO FEES THRU JUNE. Mule's last newsletter mentioned 4 shows that qualify for Live Nation's "No Fees In June" promotion (7/16 in Raleigh NC, 7/18 in Charlotte NC, 8/06 in Boston MA, and 8/20 in Indianapolis IN), but they missed this one.
By the way, speaking of the Loudoun Summer Music Fest, THE MACHINE will be playing there THIS SATURDAY 6/12, with the Led Zep tribute ZOSO opening. These two bands are doing the same thing the night before that too, FRIDAY 6/11, at Celebrate Virginia Live in Fredericksburg. Both shows are only $12.50 in advance or $15 day of show. I only mention it because I know we have numerous forum members in that general area and it's a pretty good deal... don't mean to hijack the Gov't Mule thread or anything... carry on...

when will they come to the UK?
I'm supposed to be seeing Santana & Winwood at Bethel Woods that night, otherwise I'd definitely be there. Now granted, this is an invite from a friend whose concert plans are always subject to change and often do, but I know as of a few days ago we were still on. If that changes, I'll be highly disappointed, but at least I'd have a free Mule show to take its place! I really wish the two shows didn't conflict... I'd love to do them both.

Wow! That will be a fantastic show Vik. I'd pass on Mule too. Tough choice, but Santana alone would be the tipping point. Throw in Winwood and it is a no brainer.

Saw the Mule in Boston last Friday. Awesome as usual but the show was a little more mellow than some, at least for the first set. Here are some pictures (not my best - too far away):

And what was for me the highlight of the evening - Warren doing John Lennon's Working Class Hero. The emotion is just incredible (makes up for the fact that it isn't a very good quality video).

How does Danny Lewis play organ and piano at the same time?
Sandy
Nice photos from your new camera, Sandy. The colours are very natural and the images are nice and sharp. I agree with you about the emotion in the video. Warren was very respectful to John's original and has just the right amount of venom in this interpretation. I wish I'd been there with you.
Next time you must try harder to get to the front!
I was buying some CDs on Amazon at the weekend and was directed to the new Mule CD, Mulennium, which is released in the UK on 30th August, but may already be available in the States. As a complete Mule nut I had to order it immediately.
Has anyone got this yet? For a three CD set the price is an absolute steal at $9.99, Amazon.com but a bit more over on this side of the pond at £11.99 Amazon.co.uk

"Seated" show - no wiggling up front and as ususal the 6ft 8inch football player (and his girlfriend with the poofy hair) were sitting/standing right in front of me! And that stupid stack of speakers that Brian hides behind was so in the way of watching Matt!
Mulennium is great - my brother and sister-in-law were at that show (he wore his t-shirt from that show to this one - the original is much better than the repro they are selling now).
I guess Mule is limiting their touring next year. I think the Jamaica trip in January sounds like a good idea - in 2012!
Tom Petty tomorrow.

We are heading to Red Rocks for Labor Day Week-end party with Warren, Matty, Danny and Jorgen.
Experienced them at Red Rocks bout 6 years back, and it was magical.
There was a double rainbow that was almost centered above the stage when they cut into John the Revalator!
Anybody else heading to this mile high show?
An amazing evening at Red Rocks Saturday.
Warren and the Boys were rockin it hard all night.
Encore was 21st Century Schizoid Man from King Crimson and April Wine followed by Dazed and Confused, which had to be 15 minutes of incredible sound. What a treat.
If you have not been to Red Rocks, put it on your list of things you must do.
