Topic: Callaham LP Bridges

Anyone have any experience with these?  A few people at the Birds & Moons forums have been raving about them.  It sure sounds like a great upgrade for not that much money, but it's always hard to tell if the marketing ("HUGE" tone improvement!!!) is really true.  I absolutely love my LP Traditional, but I wouldn't mind making it even better...

I am interested in doing some stuff with my Traditional too.  Already put the black plastic on the Goldtop.  I was thinking about replacing the bridge and the nut. 

Love to hear what people think of the the best bridges to put on my LP.  Also, what is the best nut for an LP?

I have no experience with these Callahams, but I have a Strat with a Callaham tremolo on it and that is very good. My Les Paul (and other stud bridges) are TonePros.

I totally buy into the more tone idea with bullit steel.  Zinc is cheap and has less mass due to air voids even though they are still pretty heavy.  Aluminum is nice but its still potted so your not promised void free parts.  Steel machined parts at this level isn't cheap but honestly thats a good price for what your getting.  Tone pros is potted but they have fixed design flaws with a lot of TOM bridges that are not incorperated into the Callaham design.  Locking tom from callaham would be nice, if you have any machinging skills you could drill and tap the holes yourself to make them locking like Tone pros that would result in the ultamate bridge for ABR-1 TOM bridges.  My vote is Callaham.
