Topic: Eric Steckel

I predict this kid (20 yrs young) to be the next big thing. His version of "Little Wing" is inspiring. The only thing he needs besides a big break, is more maturity in his voice and definately a better drummer of the caliber of Bogie.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Eric's most recent album "Feels Like Home" was one of my better purchases over the last 12 months. (My thanks to our friend Curby for that I think) A fine cocktail of styles on show - strong songwriting, stunning guitar, and a not too shabby rhythm section of Duane Trucks on drums, and Mike Esposito on bass. Definitley one to get.
I believe the next album is not too far away.

Re: Eric Steckel

WOW, did Eric ever grow up, I would not have recognized him.  I saw him once about 6 years ago in New Hope, Pennsylvania in a small little club accompanied by his mom and dad.  Eric reminded me so much of someone else we know and love...  smile

As far as the blues, Eric definitely plays the blues and idolizes the 3 "Kings".  I remember him mentioning Albert, Freddie and B.B.  Eric's voice has come a long way since 6 years back... Also, I recall him being a very nice young man. Its hard to go wrong with talented and nice...again reminding me of someone... smile

The sound's not the best on this one, but he mentions someone you know well in the intro.

Eric's new album "Milestone" is now available to buy.
I've only heard the previews, but have to say it sounds pretty amazing so far.
Here's a couple of previews Eric put on Youtube (sound only).

This young guy really rocks a mean blues.

Just ordered my CD a couple of days ago from CD Baby where you can hear previews of all the tracks.
Sounds to me like Eric's been hangin' with the Reverend  cool
