Topic: Providence Stampede OD. What a pedal!

Over the last few days I have been selling stuff like mad on ebay. I'm funding a total revamp of my gear. My providence stampede OD arrived today. I've just spent the last 20 minutes with it through my super champ xd (baby sleeping in the next room) and it sounds amazing. With the champ set at voice 6 (crankedish blackface) and all dials at 12 on the stampede it was instant Robben Ford. This thing is 10 out of 10! The overdrive is smooth while keeping the tone of the guitar and amp intact. I'm in love. Can't wait to get it through my blues junior! Now I just need to wait for my deja vibe to arrive in the next few days and my rig will almost be complete. After that I'm missing a marshall in a box. Box of rock or rothwell hellbender, can't decide.

Re: Providence Stampede OD. What a pedal!

Hellbender...I really like that tone.

Re: Providence Stampede OD. What a pedal!

Ahhhhh, the secrets out, I've been screaming this pedal, but never see it on any boards (just Ford and Matt Schofield).  Sounds great (doesn't color tone) with with my Ceraitone OTS and Tweed Blues Jr - congrats.

P.S.  My board goes: Klon into Dumkudo OD then into SOV-2, then others.  I keep Klon on all the time set with OD level at 7-8pm and then stack Dumkudo (another sleeper OD pedal...shhhh.) and then SOV-2.  I light up SOV-2 (OD around 10pm) for solo's over clean tone songs and or leave it on all the time and just roll the volume on guitar to clean up then light up Dumkudo (OD around 2pm) for solo's or heavier stuff...love my board, but damn those three pedal in a row cost over $1k....ouch....and we haven't even gotten to the fourth pedal on board yet....lol.

Thats a pretty expensive board. Mine is heading in that direction too. I bit the bullet and went for the rothwell. I've got a board full of overdrive pedals now. SOV-2, TS808, Pork Loin and next coming is the rothwell hellbender. Fulltone catalyst looks pretty cool too.

Yeah crazy how when you look at your board about how much it cost. My board and loop has:  Buddy Guy Wah, TU2, Klon, Dumkudo, SOV-2, FT Mini-Deja Vibe, Aqua Puss, Boss 2-Pedal Looper - all powered by Voodoo Labs II, then in Ceriatone OTS loop, a K-lator, T-Rex Replica and Dr Scientist Reverberator.....then you look in storage and there sits a TS-808, FT Mosfet II, FT Ultimate Ocatve, FT Octafuzz, T-Rex Dr. Swamp, FT OCD, EVH Flanger and more...geez...serious G.A.S!!  LOL...we haven't in touched on all the guitars we all own...expensive hobby for a noodler like me...lol

Re: Providence Stampede OD. What a pedal!

You might want to take a look at a Rockbox Boiling Point if you are still looking for a Marshall in a box.  Really good with a Les Paul into a Fender Amp on the plexi setting.  Price is a little scary!

Why don't we start a new thread and upload info on pedal boards. Always a good conversation starter.
