Topic: Behringer Tube Driver Clone

i've been really busy recently, but managed to get some of my guitar playing buddies down for a weekend to drink beers and talk/play guitar. one guy brought this big EHX looking pedal with a 12ax7 in it. 3 band EQ, noise gate and lots of gain on tap.

been a while since i've had to pick my jaw off the floor. this thing can get pretty much any level of drive or tone i could want. i could get low cranked marshall esq tones, gilmour tones, even scoop metal if that's your bag. pretty much ripped it out my mates hand when he said i could buy it off him. a quick change to a lower gain 12ax7 and it's ready to go. i'm really digging it. works well with my strat and paul. cleans up nicely with the guitar controls and the noise gate is a nice touch. quite useful, as it just takes the background noise away and not wreck your dynamics.

all in all, £30 well spent i think. it's kicked the TS9 off the board. well i say board, does a foot-switch and this really need a board? wink

Seems you can get some good mods for it...and it's practically a copy of the Tone King...which is a good thing?

Yes, I now own the one in that video. My mate over at shortscale.org. I spend a lot of time on there.
