Topic: Blues/Rock Clubs/Bars on London
Hey all, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, didn't really know where it would fit as although its not about a specific artist it is about the music in general.
As I have been frequenting London more regularly recently I was interested in having a few nights out with some music and bourbon. The London Gig list gave me a few ideas, and am familiar with most of the destinations mentioned. However I would very much like to hear the lowdown on some of your favourite London haunts.
I am after somewhere with a Delta vibe as its a night out for my hardcore blues brother, plenty of good live music and plenty of good whiskey. What about your favourites? Any not so commonly known - could be blues or rock as I fancy a bit pf a crawl? Any particular nights? (I'm looking at a Sunday in the next couple of weeks - maybe even next). Best for Music? Best for Booze? Best for Food? Best atmosphere?
What about when llive music isn't on? Are blues/rock friendly tunes on tap via the jukebox?
What about when live music is on? I have seen that a lot of gigs start at 7 (doors I'm guessig?) but what kind of times do the headliners usually finish as I would be looking to catch the last train (to sidcup).
Anyone ever been to the CroBar? Is it very metal or a mix or hard rock?
Thanks for all the help guys and gals
