Topic: Fed up of crap Pedal Boards- so I am making my own.

Yes I am fed up of crap Pedal Boards- so I am making my own.

It's 1" MDF mainly and 12mm where non structural. The rhs of the board is guit in Amp A and Amp B, the LHS has 2 S/R's, 1 x stereo S/R, Midi in, Expression In.

I'm painting it in black gloopy paint, and putting Cornell Grille Cloth over the 3  rear vents.

The inside will have all my leave alone stuff in it- like the PP2, Cornish LD1s (4 of them), a parallel mixer and a power strip. All cabeling is mounted on the underside.

The base has a piano hinge at the back and velcro at the front to get access, and the 3 pedal slats are velcored and therefore removable.

I'd add that I now have a slightly butchered (IE drilled holes in it) t's 30 x 18 Aluminium Trailer Trash board for sale, yours for £75

...anyway...where are these youtube clips of this beastly rig? Something like Mother or Final Cut solo would be good...hahaha

Pete Cornish Loom arrived today. Thank you Lord Pete of Cornishland.

There's 2 x S/R's, one Mono to Stereo S/R, one din/MIDI controller and one expression SR.

This cable is like jewelry. I shall wear it to the pub tonight  big_smile

So I have been working very hard. I had so many issues today it's untrue- like pre-wiring all the Neutriks only to find i couldn't get them through the holes and then having to unsolder and resolder 14 of the buggers.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, here's the story as it has unfolded. SAtill not quite there yet. BTW if anyone is interested I'm seriously thinking of starting a business building these from scratch, but including the pedal choices, power, cables, the works. Sort of a slightly lesser Pete C.

So after many hours hard labour I have finished the board.

Here are the pics telling the story. I apologise for those that are bored with it, but I am quite proud.

I'm also happy to quote if anyone ever wants one.....that includes all the buffering, switching and looping.

In an effort to recoup some cash on my outlay, if anyone's interested I'm flogging off a load of patch leads and looms and stuff- some Cornish, some Evidence Melody- in the FS section.

Pedal board looks great. I'm currently going in the opposite direction in an attempt to simplify things. I'm getting some pedals together (selling loads too) to run into my lues junior at home. I have a providence stampede on order for my dumbley sounds and am looking between the box of rock or the rothwell hellbender for marshally sounds. The hellbender is just edging it for me at the minute.

Your board looks great. Would love to hear a demo.

The ones on the lhs are 3 s/r's (one is stereo so 2 x returns) from the switching system to my rack + expression pedal send and MIDI send. The ones on the RHS are guit in, amp 1 out amp 2 out.

Al thye are are jack sockets (locakble ones so the cable can't be pulled out accidentally). On the back of the neutrik sockets are pete cornish cables to r/a jack plugs into the switcher.

Very simple really.
