Topic: Rotherham & Birmingham May 29th + 31st

I know that this is now old news, but my posts from the time have been obliterated and I just wanted to espress my gratitude and joy after one of the best weekends of my life!!

Rotherham
I was on my own for this one and arrived two hours early as I wanted to get a front row position if possible (being 5' tall is no joke at standing concerts). There were already 8 people there so I joined the small throng. The e-ticket fiasco has already been reported, but my blood pressure was seriously compromised when the list did not seem to be in numerical order and the door-persons couldn't find my number!
Anyway, my determination was rewarded by a great front barrier position so I was happy. I was hoping to take some photos but had foolishly left my camera battery in the charger at home   so I just had to concentrate on the wonderful performance that Joe produced.

What a great set - eight of my all-time JB favourites in there - I was in heaven. "Bird On A Wire" as one of the encores was beautiful.

I left the somewhat dodgy venue feeling so lucky that I could experience the whole thing again in two days' time!!

Birmingham
Altogether more civilised - second row seats, my husband for company and my camera ready for action!

Joe played the same amazing set, but it felt even more intense (possibly because I wasn't distracted by sore feet!!). I don't have a problem with his lack of interaction with the audience, but he was more chatty with the people of Birmingham and his stories were well received.

I managed to get some photos (they are not up to the standard of Marty's and Icon's) - if anyone is interested, follow this link

My thanks to Mrs. Icon for her co-operation in my set-list photo.

Further thanks to Joe and the band for two wonderful performances and for making my Bank Holiday weekend so special.

The tickets for October went on sale the next day - I am so glad that I came onto this Forum during my lunch-break to read reviews as I have managed to get good seats at two venues.  :)  :)  :)

Better late than never!!!  Great review on both of your shows.  Even though the setlist was similar each show has it's own feeling!! Thanks for sharing, plus the great pictures.
