Topic: Blues in Cazorla, Spain 23/07

Hi everyone,

tomorrow i will be attending my first bonamassa concert ... finally !!!

I feel really excited about it and I was thinking about bringing my Bonamassa sig guitar but I feel like it will be a little bit complicate since i will be in hotels for a few days after the show ...

Anyway, is it easy to meet Joe before the show, at soundcheck for example??

In this case i would definitely bring a something to make him signed big_smile

I'll let you know about how the show went later.

Show up at pre show and let a roadie know you have a JB Les you want signed. Joe will come out. Have a blast. The band is en fuego right now. Top of thier game!

well as I told you I went to this very small blues festival in Spain last week, and had the great opportunity to meet Joe before the show and of course he took the time to play my LP signature and sign it:

this has definitely been a great year for me because I had the opportunity to meet not only one but both the guitarists i appreciate more nowadays... Joe and Andy timmons.

I didn't go into details about the show because i guess it was the same kind of show Joe gave in other cities and some others guys already made good reviews, my english is not so good to make a special review you know what i mean ...

I can just say from my personal point of view that i was a little disappointed not to see Joe with a Gold Top, the show started quite strangely because Joe tech had problems with the 2 marshalls so Joe had to come onstage to review what was going wrong in the set-up ... I was afraid that he would get angry and decide not to play, it would have been so bad for me hehe ... but isn't like that thanks god !!!

Other than that, he did a very long spanish intro with the acoustic guitar to give the spanish fans some of the flamenco classical stuff flavor ... we were in a bull fighting arena so it was reallya nice place to play flamenco hehe !!!

What else ... well not too much, i really appreciated my favorite songs like So Many Roads, Sloe Gin,... and the new ones were great too ...

I think that's all i can add from my show smile

I just had a big smile on my face during all the show, and i couldn't even decide on concentrating on Joe guitar skills or the overall sound of the band, i really liked the drummer and the bass player who very gently introduced me to Joe before the show (i hadn't recognize him, which made me feel unconfortable when seeing him on stage later  yikes ).

Next october Joe is playing in Madrid so i'll be there for my second show in a year ... ACE !!!

Thanks for the report Amused. Don't kid yourself. Your English is very good, certainly better than my Spanish! lol I saw the photo's of the Bull Ring but didn't realize that was the concert venue. Unusual to say the least. I think the Sunburst now is his favorite more than the Goldtop. He played both in Bonn so maybe it was an equipment issue. Glad you got the JB signed and met Joe. Thanks for the review. Even though each show on a tour is similar, our reaction as fans is always unique. That is why we love those reports.
