Topic: Silver Jubilee

I was wondering if there are any amps on the market that are similar to the Silver Jubilee. Its damn near impossible to find them anywhere. So is there anything or should I just pray to stumble across one at a pawn shop or something?

Re: Silver Jubilee

If you can't get the real thing, try the Ceriatone clone http://www.ceriatone.com/productSubPage … BS2555.htm
I have some Ceriatone amps and they're all fantastic in tone and build quality. I don't have the 2255, though but a couple of forum members do. Perhaps they can chime in.
If you want to stick to Marshall, I hear the diode clipping JCM800s (i.e. 2205 and 2210) are very similar. I have a JCM800 2210 myself but I've never played a Silber Jubilee. I wish I could A/B them. I like the tone of my 2210 (even at low volumes).

Re: Silver Jubilee

You can usually find them on eBay. The Slash signature amp is the same circuit in a black cabinet.

I have the Ceriatone 25/50 (25 or 50 watts).  I am very happy with this amp.  Actuall;y I have 2 amps by Ceriatone and in my opinion, they are the best value on the market.

Do not be affraid.

Re: Silver Jubilee

When you buy the Ceriatones do they build them for you or do you build them yourself? I've researched them a little but have never figured out how they do it. I'll look into the JCM800's.

You can do it either way.  I ordered mine complete, w a cab (amps are heads).  A lot of guys buy just the chasis and build the cab themselves or put the whole thing together themselves.  I'm not capable of that, so I buy the pakcage 4 (totally assembled).

Took about 4 weeks to arrive.  Just less than a grand.

Re: Silver Jubilee

All right that's awesome. Thank you guys so much for your help I will definitely start saving for one of these. Cheers guys! Keep on rockin'

Re: Silver Jubilee

How about the Marshall 1987XL, how do they compare to the Silver Jubilee?
