Topic: GAS cured for now

I got my David grissom guide to blues rock soloing out last night and learned some new licks. I was so impressed that I forgot that I was playing through a g-dec 3 on a Keith urban preset. If I learn new stuff all the time will it cure GAS? I bet those new licks I learnt would sound great through the blues junior I've been eying.

Re: GAS cured for now

I just bought a used Rivera 4x12 Cabinet that matches my Rivera combo amp. Has Celestion G12 75's or the 85's they made special for Rivera. Smokin deal on Guitar Center dot com. They have used gear from all over the country online. CRAZY! Shipping from CA to MI was only 35$ to UPS a 4x12 cab!

Nope. Nothing cures GAS. Except new gear - even then it's temporary.  wink

Just grabbed myself a new head *see 'pretty interesting amp' topic*...

Need to get tubes/bias etc sorted...the wait is killing me! Even though I've been through tens and tens of amps...I want more...

Are we ever happy, even with a wonderful sound - Les Paul/plexi etc? More, more, more!  roll

Just picked up a beautiful Epiphone Emperor II Joe Pass for a steal. It's an amazing guitar for the money - a really smooth player. It's a mint condition natural finish MIK '03 model with a nice HSC with purple plush lining  cool . I couldn't put it down last night it sounded so good. GAS cured for now... wink

Google David Grissom a guide to blues rock soloing and you should find it. Have found some pretty good techniques from it. Not as much as Robben Ford guide to blues rythm

Thanks Fuzzblues, got it and for cheap!  and at the risk of being stonned, I really just absolutely despise Robben Ford.  I have only heard a couple of minutes of him recently that finally did not make me want to throw up.  I have hated everything from tone to playing. anyhow, i digress.  thanks for the Grissom suggestion.
