Topic: Boss DD3
Decision time. The regular DD3 http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/prod … sku=151310 or the one modded by Keeley http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/prod … sku=423033 ?
Are the two Keeley mods worth double the price?

Are the two Keeley mods worth double the price?
Keeley Modded Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal Features:
* Two types of switchable analog feel
* Effects loop to add external effects to the repeats
The question should be if these extra features are worth double the price for you?
Are you in need of switchable analog feelings or fx loop for the repeats?
I personally need delay to give the guitarsound (rhythm or lead) more space and ambience.
Keeley makes great stuff no question. But in this case I see it just as a gimmick
and my answer is for double the price I wouldn't buy it...

+1!
The regular model is more than enough, unless you want a crazy, mind-boggling sound system.
Ok, regular DD3 it is. Thanks.
Find one of the earlier made in japan models. Should have a blue label. Those are the best.

Also run it off an isolated power supply otherwise they can clip the signal.
Really? I didn't know that....

Just an observation from personal experience. A stand alone Boss PSA works well but the newer (not Japanese built) DD3s don't seem to work so well with some daisy-chain digital power supplies. Great pedals for the money though
