Mine is simple, but I've been known in surfing circles as Caveman. It is funny because I never knew that is what I was called by my peers until I saw a photo in a surfing magazine with that caption. 
(the reference is to how deep in the tube I rode)

My name?
Well it was kind of suggested by Mrs Icon - my first name is Ian (there's the I) and CON are the first three letters of my surname. I thought it kinda fits as we are all here courtesy of the current #1 guitar icon.
Ever since, I've lived by the motto "Reject False Icons"

Some will think mine was chosen from a lack of imagination, but it was more than that. I'm a girl blessed with the given name "Chris." Everyone assumes I'm Christine or Christina and I've grown so weary of explaining that my name is "just Chris." I'm not JUST Chris, you see. I'm so much more!

I think I might have raised some eyebrows, though, on another thread, when I offered up the fact that I thought Clint Eastwood was hot (back in the day), and then I remembered... oh yeah, they have no way of knowing my gender. Oops.

I think mine falls in that "obvious" category Hombre.HA! With an attempt at being clever also, Rog being my real name. And I used this name in other spots too,like "last.fm",so I just kept it going because it does befit me.
My old friends call me "Zoz", a nickname I acquired as a baby from my older brother who couldn't say Rog,it came out Zoz and my Mom perpetuated it,,,my friends picked it up and like my brother they still use it in an honorary and loving way.
So since I consider you my friends too...you all can call me Zoz also,,,if you wish.

For those newer posters and those who have no knowledge of English football and therefore don't recognize my profile badge, a brief recap.
I live in Amsterdam and I support West Ham United football club, whose fans are, surprisingly, known as Hammers. So when the flash of inspiration struck me somewhere around 98-99, I instantly knew that was 'it' for me, and Amsterhammer has been my internet persona ever since.
Unlike some here, it would never have occurred to me to use my real name, or even a clever pseudonym like BigJeffJones or cathysiler.

Mine is pretty self-explanatory... my name is Vikki and I love tie-dye. It's basically all I wear... I have a few dresser drawers full of t-shirts in all colors and patterns. As I've mentioned before, I'm waiting for a Joe Bonamassa tie-dye.
Another reason I chose this name is because I wanted one name I could use everywhere, instead of a Floydish name on a Floyd site, a bluesy name on a blues site, etc, etc. And I also wanted to incorporate my actual name into it. I have so much trouble keeping people's real names straight with their screen names, and multiply that when they use different screen names for all their various accounts... let's just say I wanted to keep it simple.
The very first site I ever joined when I got online here at home was The Machine's forum, and on that one I'm just plain Vikki, as I hadn't gotten creative yet. But everywhere else I'm TieDyeVikki.
