Topic: Rig Revisted....

Updates

Have made a much smaller board and boy it sounds good.....

I wanted to have a small pedal board to gig and then the rack if ever I need it....

Works well- the small board sound great and is so versatile.

From loop 5 on the gigrig we go to the rack...

And- a rack- in the pedal drawers there will be/is Korg G4 Leslie Sim, 1974 Dynacomp, 1974 Ram's Head, Green Script 1976 Elec Mistress, MicroVibe, Phase 90, 1984 CE 2, WMD AutoWah + the rack gear you can see. (Lexicon PCM91, Digitech IPS33B, MXR Sys Delay II, Voodoo GCX and Grd Cont.

I'll repost it when I take some non-iphone pics and I finish the rack....

Re: Rig Revisted....

I'm loving this...I really want to hear what it can do!  Jesus that Cornish stuff is pricey and your pedal board is SWARMING with them!  The craziest stuff on my board are the 2 vintage Echoplexes and that's about it.  All the rest is EBAY or Guitar Center fair....

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

YEah, but with Pete's stuff you are putting your money in a savings account!! It appreciates in value.

I have some more PC stuff on order- a Tape Echo Sim and a rack unit that will basically rack mount a Phase 90, Elec Mis, Vibe and a CE2 into 1 2u unit. Not midi- it'll have toggles on the front.

Re the LD1's- as they're always 'on' I may mount them under the board and free up some space.

Re: Rig Revisted....

I hear the Cornish tape echo sim is nice, but for the $$$ have you considered just buying an old Maestro Echoplex EP2 or EP3?  Or even one of the Fulltone TTE units?  IMO there is nothing like the real deal and working on them is actually very easy and soothing.  I guess I'm a tinkerer deep down....

Justin,

The TES is not so much a tape echo as a very refined delay based on a DD2 chip. You actually have to track down a DD2 MIJ for Pete and give it to him as part of the deal!!

My Lexicon PCM does Tape Echo quite well. I am considering the Empress as heard wonderful things about them, but 3 delays are too many even for me...

Wolf- yes- when it's finished !! Hahaha!

I still have to wire up the rack properly and I am making some changes to the pedalboard before the official launch day!

Actually, that date will remain indefinite. Gear addicts of the first order never finish tweaking the rig.  lol When he adds the last delay pedal, the music will not be heard until the next day! tongue
