Saw it too last night! What a performance, what a voice and great hard rocking band as well.

The audience (and myself )were very surprised he did such a song. Brilliant!!

That said, I am a huge Tom Jones fan, and yes I have seen him perform Live!!! A top notch show with guests including Wyclef Jean and others. I don't take kindly to anyone knocking him either.  DYNAMIC is an understatement.  So what if his cheezy ol' furt dance moves are totally outdated probably since 1961, a total entertainer.  cool

Rock ON & Keep the Faith, and if I only knew, what I could do, to make me make me like  (as in similar to) Tom Jones.......I surely would ........if I could.

Tom doesn't ever surprise me.   I don't know if his son is still his manager, but when his erstwhile manager died, his son had dad getting a more modern and still more creative repertoire and approach going.  Thanks for reposting the link Green Green Grasp of talent Knows (Greenose  wink )  Let's hope for more as you wish Duncan!

It's different .  It is very Black Keys stylish and I don't really dig it on Burning Hell.  It's not Tom Jones that I don't like on it, it's the music.  I'd take the original of course because it's true blues and has meaning and its JLH. Definitely, hands down, Joe's version.  This was a very plain and monotonous version  and could listen to it once, but that was enough.
