Topic: Jet City Amplification JCA100H

This was another thread that got sucked into the cyber black hole.

Anyhow, I got mine about 10 days ago. The Street price is now down to $799.99 down from the release price of $999.99 - and Guitar Center is running a 15% off sale through tomorrow. On top of that Jet City Amplification has a $100 factory rebate though July 15th.

This, as are most of Jet City's amps are designed by Mike Soldano who is one of the partners in JCA.
The JCA100H has some killer tone. The clean channel with the gain turned down delivers some nice cleans and on the Soldano overdrive channel... well lets just say that I haven't had any need to turn the gain up past 5!

Yes they're made in China and yes 99% of stuff made in China is junk... but there are exceptions!

Now is the time to buy if you want an inexpensive KILLER amp!

Re: Jet City Amplification JCA100H

I was one from the earlier thread that poked fun at these amps being made in China. My good friend Tom (RicJunkie) sent me some links. Through those links my interest was immensely peaked. Peaked enough that I bought a new one at a bargain price (free shipping & no tax) and I'm still able to get the rebate on top of all that bring the price to less than $600.US!!. I am so freakin' amazed at this amp I would dare say it rivals that of a SLO. If you have a chance to play one, you'll buy it. If you have the opportunity to buy a new one at a bargain price like me, do it! You won't be sorry.

I'm intrigued by the Jet City Amplification JCA20H 20W:

Has anyone played that?

Re: Jet City Amplification JCA100H

Just been to the Jet City website. The JCA20H has EL84s and no FX loop. The JCA50H would be a more likely candidate.

I have the JCA20H as well. A single channel that goes from clean to raunchy. Again no frills (no internal reverb or FX loop) but it's a kick a$$ little amp. The 20 W combo does have an internal reverb. You have to play one to appreciate it.

Jet city has many new products just out, or coming up for release. Intriguing are the Iso-cab (a 12" Eminance speaker inside a sound proofed cabinet that can either be miked or it has a USB port) and the Pico-valve 3W/5W studio amp (the tube biasing on this allows you to swap tubes in and out to personalize your sound without having to tweak the biasing).

The 50 watt Heads and combos are just starting to show up at retailers. And they have some pedals in the works that were shown at NAMM, but they aren't advertising them so far.

You can sign up for jet mail on the website. They also have a page on Facebook as well. (They do weekly equipment giveaways on the FB page).

If you'd like to hear the 100 watt amp in action here's a couple of youtube video demos.

Here's an independant review of the JCA20H vs. 3 other similar amps by Total Guitar:
