"With the interest and international intrigue in the Candy Apple Blue versions of my Les Paul model, both Gibson along with Wildwood guitars and I started to think of other colors we could do. Sunburst was the logical choice. But the real challenge was blending the black back with the sunburst. I think Gibson really nailed it. It looks very natural to me. The guitar is a standard Joe B model un-aged. I have the prototype pictured. Rick Gembar was nice enough to drive it 4 hours from Nashville to Lexington Kentucky for me. I took it out of the case at 7:30 and by 8:20 it was onstage at the Lexington Opera House in front of 1500 people. I told my tech Dave after I handed it back to him that it was immediately my favorite of the ones that I own. Yes even better than #052. I hope everybody who buys them enjoys these guitars as much as I do. And if I could give the perspective owners any advice. Please play them. Beat them up, bond with them and take them out on the gig. Its what the whole purpose of the guitar was to start. I want them to be cherished and played and enjoyed then passed down. So no closet classics with the tags still on them 5 years from now, ok guys and gals. Thank you to all at Wildwood Guitars for being so supportive of the model from day one. I am honored you guys are doing this and sleep well knowing they are in great hands and will go to a good loving home. All the Best and play loud!!!
