Topic: Who is Your Favorite band?
In 1978 my older brother gave me the album Rock and Roll Machine by Triumph because he didn’t like it, I have been a fan ever since. This is why; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbogLtt9UrM

My first exposure to Triumph was watching the 1983 US Festival on TV. I had not heard of them before, and I was completely spellbound. This one still gives me goosbumps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRDS9AwDF6g
I was a KISS fan also. Our home was the neighborhood hangout, so there was always something different to listen to. Plus I am just old enough to have grown up during the AM era of the early 70’s KENO was the best AM station with the best music. When FM took over it seemed like everything changed, music had more power. Bands like Zepplin, Queen, Foghat, Montrose, and others got more airtime with FM’s format. This was a huge change in direction from The Beatles/McCartney, Motown and Elton John on AM during the early 70’S.
These days the only time that listen to the radio is the drive to and from work if that because of all the talk and commercials I end up listen to cd,s anyway. MTV & VH1. LOL the board of directors don’t even know what the names stand for. What a joke!
We are who we are, I some way, because of the music we like from the bands that influenced us.
Thanks for what you do Joe, but Triumph/Rik is still may favorite.
You’re the best #2
Take care,
Bill
