Topic: Pedalboard Help Joe B., Others Please!!

I've always went Boss TU-2 Tuner first in line, then Buddy Guy Wah, Keeley Katana, Dumkudo OD, SOV-2 OD, Fulltone DejaVibe, Aqua Puss Delay and Boss Loop, but on new Pedaltrain board I just got, I was wondering if I could put Tuner in another location in pedal line (not first in line) as this would work better for space management for Wah pedal....any negative tone issues, reccomendations, etc?

Thanks for feedback all!!

Tom

Isn't that tuner true bypass when it's not on?  I'd put it anywhere you need it:  shouldn't change your signal at all.

Re: Pedalboard Help Joe B., Others Please!!

I have my tuner second in line. Wah first.
The tuners aren't true bypass, they are buffer, which I prefer in this case as it drives my signal harder through the volume pedal I have, which can drain tone.

Ironically, the night ended with Tuner second in line, after Wah and then pushed a little by a Katana clean boost - all good.  Thanks for feedback.

This is a great article on tuners and placement in your chain.  Also discusses true bypass and why I thought my tuner was.  Live and learn, I was wrong....... tongue

XCorp:  Thanks.

Ahhh, the true bypass against not true bypass and what's better.  Tired of it all.  Pete Cornish has mentioned True Bypass isn't better and XYZ says mix match them together for best results to move flow down the hose.

Bottom line, I have to accept some loss tone when I don't go straight into an amp - just from more hose being used.

Thanks for all your help as always - great forum!!!

Its not really "tone loss" as much as "tone change".

Do what I do: just start plugging stuff in and see what happens.  tongue
