Topic: I'm exhausted but PROUD!

I'm sleepwalking, I'm so tired.  After the tragedy of our nephew dying so young, it's time for some good news. 

For the last 3 days it's been a whirlwind.  #1 son is home from Rollins College and just left to take his nana to his cuz's graduation from his college.  He has a month long, house & dog sitting gig for the month of June, for CASH plus expenses.  He then leaves el Cuatro del Julio pa' Australia, for a semester to study, all expenses paid!!!  He's stoked!  Hope he comes back.  hmm

#2 son graduated High School today; Cum Laude, Accelerated Program and received over 2k worth of local scholarships, in addition to his package from University of South Florida.  Earlier this week he passed his first responder training and starts as a lifeguard next week.  Some of the kids outswam him, but nobody outran him.   big_smile

My favorite daughter finishes this year of dual enrollment (high school & college...at 16) with straight AAAAs.  And she is far too good looking.  BTW she's no slacker...talking Calculus, engineering & sciences here, not lightweight foo foo.  In addition she is on her game as a pianist, blowing the roof off of her last recital.

You're a very blessed person and your illness and recovery is further proof that life is indeed precious.  When I read your post this is the song that popped in my head.  I like the line at :50 the best.

It's the biggest assignment we ever signed up for Doc, but worth the effort, wouldn't you agree? My daughter graduated college 2 years ago, my son made it to 21 on May 8th, and my niece graduates UC Santa Barbara in a couple weeks. Now my life feels complete. Won't be long before you and Ms. Tia get that riding off into the sunset feeling.

Well done, my friend. But as we all know our "achievements" in raising kids are only a small part: they need a special blessing, too. And if both comes together, it´s like it has to be.
